Hello Ghouls and Boils,
Dark Discoveries Publications had a table at the H.P. Lovecraft Film Festival this year. They brought along a preview copy of the fall issue of Dark Discoveries magazine – a Lovecraft Special. As our regular readers know, I am a bit of a Lovecraft fan. (Ok, I have a cuddly Cthulhu who screams when you hug him — so “bit” may be an understatement.)
Needless to say, I was excited to see the completed issue. I was not disappointed my fiends. This is a terrorific issue! It is Dark Discoveries best showing yet, and worth picking up. The Lovecraft Special is incredible from beginning to end. The production value and layout are top notch. There are some great short stories, my favorite this go around was, “The Fragile Mask On His Face” by David A. Riley. Jason V Brock‘s article on the H.R. Giger Museum has some phantastic images and is very informative. His interview with Kris Kuksi was also very interesting. Both are must reads. I also enjoyed this issue’s Re:Discoveries by Henry Covert on Marvel Comics and the Mythos. And no I am not being biased… I have long thought this subject needed exploring and it was very well researched and written. (Though I am lucky to have such a brilliant fiance! Love you baby!)
This issue is jam-packed full of great information, terrifying tales, and horrifying fantastic art. It would make a terrorific stocking stuffer for the cultist in your life! Get your issue today, before they sell out! You won’t be disappointed. Dark Discoveries: Lovecraft Special gets my highest recommendations. It is available now at the Dark Discoveries webstore. Enjoy my fiends!
Abstrusely yours,
